About Matthew

As a fully qualified and experienced teacher, Matthew understands how students learn and the importance of establishing good relationships to help students feel calm and comfortable to learn. He is innovative in his teaching methods and uses an iPad to teach effectively and maintain and communicate driving training records so students know how they are doing and what they need to work on. He is patient and supportive as students perfect their driving skills to pass their restricted or full driving tests and also become confident and considerate drivers.

Matthew is experienced with hybrid and electric vehicles and drives an automatic Nissan Note E-Power. As a hybrid electric vehicle, it can drive very similarly to a normal automatic transmission internal combustion engine car or you can future-proof your driving skills and learn how to drive it more like an electric vehicle using features such as regenerative braking. The car is equipped with dual controls, lane departure warning and frontal collision mitigation safety features as well as parking sensors and cameras to help you feel safe and learn to manoeuvre both with and without technology fitted to cars. However, if you would prefer to learn in your own manual or automatic car, Matthew can also teach you.
